Hi Guys, I've had it with my Belkin F5D8233-4v3

Pic here: http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/product/31210/review/belkin_n_wireless_router_f5d82334_v3.html

Basically It keeps disconecting me from xbox live at regular intervals, and occasionly wont let me connect to partys etc, even with the NAT open!

So I'm looking for a new router that:

Is XBOX Live Friendly
Can handle a potential of 3 PC's, an Xbox and a couple of phones at the same time

My Internet Connection is Virgin 20M

Thanks in advance

I have the Virgin 50Mb link, and run a Belkin N1 Vision http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=377018

Its been fantastic since i got it. I have 2PCs, 2 Laptops, 1 PS3...But no Xbox.
Before i got the N1 i had a LINKSYS and a NETGEAR, i had all the problems u had with my PS3, inculding so speed to PSN.

As soon as i connected the N1, all my problems went away...

Router issues with xboxes, excluding a fault port, always end up being firmware issues. Fix the fw fix the issue, though manufactures tend to put the fix on the new models.

I wouldn't really try to compare a £35 router to a £90 router, the hardware has changed so much. If the reviews I read of that router, glanced over admittedly, were accurate then those apps in the blurb run on the pc not the router. Shame ocuk don't sell the N1 anymore as it's the only router with external display that really useful, and quite a few people on here swear by them.

The other options are buy a tomato/dd-wrt router* and flash one of those (tomato will solve all your connection woes, pretty much guaranteed) or build your own and use something like smoothwall.

*Cable routers only (RT-N16 > WRN3500L)
