New router odd problem

Hello All, I have bought a new router, RT--AC66U, the problem I have is that one of the laptops my Sony Z series seems to have high ping when ever I run a speed test 500+. Tried different sites, but my other Samsung laptop seems fine. My Wired connection to the PC is fine. I have tried a Ping to some sites and its seems ok. Any ideas what could could cause this?

Get latest firmware for router.
Get latest drivers for wireless.

Try another wireless channel

Thanks i have tried diffrent channels resinstalled the driver on the laptop, i updated the router firmware to the latest, wouldnt the traceroute be the same from all the machines i use?

The route will be the same but the latency won't.
