Hi guys, I am with O2 now they're Sky. The thing is I am using their router but we don't have wifi connection at the other side of the house. I also have an old netgear but same problem.

I was wondering is it worth buying a new router or will wifi extender be enough?

Also If I ask sky to renew my contract they might be able to send me their router and now they're offering a free extender.

Anyone please?

Similar situation here I'm with virgin and have an old netgear router and in the last bedroom there's either poor or no reception.

Not sure whether to buy an range extender or a new router. Budget is around £40

I've got a power line near the dead spot Would it be possible to get a spare router and connect it to the power line making a new wireless network?

Yes. Almost any wireless router can be configured to work as an access point.

Google 'router as access point' and you'll find plenty of guides.
