Currently have BT FTTC (50Mbps) spread round the house with a TP Link VR900 modem/router

The VR900 has issues every few months and i think now has given up the ghost. Wont even load the 192.168.1.1 home page properly (Only tried via wifi however so need to try a wired connection).

We live in a new build so thin walls throughout, the router is connected in the office which is in the corner of the house on ground floor (3 floors total). Wifi Signal from the router has been fine and i did notice an increase is line connection speed versus the BT Home hub originally by a bit.

To replace this should i replug the BT Home hub in and get a 3 unit mesh network for Wifi? or buy another Fibre modem/router?

Want to keep costs down, any advice gratefully received

The BT Smart Hub 2.0 with complete WiFi Mesh disks works well. You can phone up and normally get it for a good price, my parents got it a few months back and I was surprised how reliable it is.

Thanks. What's a good price then for the upgrade to the complete home WiFi?

Currently paying £22 per month the for Fibre 1 on a retention deal
