Hi i have recently purchased a new router Netgear DGND3700.. which upon first inspection appears to be fantastic with a great feature set. However i am having a few wireless issues i was hoping somone will be able to help with..
I got this router specifically so my Xbox could connect via 802.11A for streaming content via Window Media Centre rig in my living room. However the 5ghz signal seems to die the moment i enter the conservatory (where the Xbox is). The B/G/N signals all seem to be good right out into the garden but the 5ghz A/N just dies as i pass through the patio doors.. Any ideas why this happens?
Another issue is my hTC Hero phone dosnt seem to be able to connet to the router. I am using AES WPA2 encryption which is supported but it just cant connect, tries over and over with no sucess. Any thoughts on this?
Finally where is the best place for the router... currnetly it at the front of the house near the BT socket and wired to my HTPC. But i am getting a very poor connection to Laptops in the garden and as mentioned 0 signal to the Xbox in the conservatory.. moving it might be a pain but ill try it if its going to help a lot.
Thanks,
Joe.
