New router quartering Internet speeds - help!

Hi,

Had a router die on me and now purchased a new one however the new one is now quartering the speeds, from 8Mb down to 2-3Mb - I am really baffled as everything appears perfect router-side!

Any ideas that could help me? Belkin router on Pipex internet.

I would say it could be heat issue as Belkins are renowned for them but my F5D7632uk4A I can count on 2 hands how many times it needed re-booting in 4 years. Never let me down and still has its place in the garage as a backup.

You sure its not Pipex resetting your line due to multiple re-boots on the router? It will settle after 5 or so days if that is the case. I know BT do it if you reboot your line so many times within hours.

Hmm, well I will take the "Settling in" advice of Wiggins then see what happens.
