Hi,
As title says, anyone able recommend a new router (with modem) to my replace my parents Homehub?

They are finding it unreliable at the moment for Wifi so would like something more robust.

Not a huge price budget (max £150 but ideally less)

Was looking at the Google Nest for simplicity but wondering if anyone has any better suggestions? (acutally this is not a modem is it?)
Thanks

Unless they have some terribly pressing reason to replace the hub, don’t. Just add a Wireless access point to make the WiFi better. Something like a tp-Link Omada EAP-225 or EAP-245 would do or Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-FlexHD.

So you're saying is keep the homehub as the modem access, then add a router to improve the wifi? Would a google nest be good for this or ones you suggest are better?
Thanks for the help

No, the BT Home Hub would still be the router. Just add an access point to make the WiFi solid.

Not sure if I'm being dumb but when you connect to wifi, you connect to the new access point instead basically? Do I leave the homehub wifi on in this case?
Thanks

Correct and no, you turn the WiFi off on the Home Hub but you give the new access point the same SSID and password as the Home Hub so you don’t need to change the settings on every device in the house.

Sounds great! I'll look into your suggestions!

Thanks again
