Is it possible to use the super hub from virgin media as a modem and then buy your own router?

If so what router do you recommend

in my house there is multiple wireless devices such as blackberrys, laptops and my own desktop pc.

Not realy issues it's just I feel like it's not what it should be, the speed is un reliable, sometimes I can get great signal and the top speed other times it just randomly drops out, or the connection slows right down.

about 60-70% of the time it's fine.

The latest firmware on the Superhub allows you to set is in modem only mode so a separate router can be used.
I get wifi dropouts with mine so i will be reconnecting my DIR-615 router which according to the Cable forum gives solid stability.

Thanks, I might have a look around for some wireless routers then

Sorry to jump on this thread but we are thinking of joining virgin BB, If it turns out our hub is pants and we can change the status to modem only, will this allow us to use our current Netgear Modem/router or will we have to purchase a router only?
