New Routter to block P2P...

Hey guys, I'm gonna change company coz Virgin media in my AREA is SHI*...

Then I'll go for SKY, I've checked it already and I like it, but the router that they'll give me... is a SAGEM ok...

Then in my actual Router, in the section of virtual servers (To open the ports)
I got just like 19 boxes to open ports, I mean I got all of them full, like this when my friends trying to download something trough TORRENT they almost can't and the connexion is PERFECT I hope you understand what I mean...

I heard that if your router has infinite boxes to open ports you'll never be able to block it because as soon as you block these ports THOSE will be open...

So what can I do??

I can get access to their computers but is private and I'm not gonna touch them...

Any IDEA?? THANKSS guys...

Surely you just need to forward one port for torrents to work.. Leaving you 18 other Port forwards at your disposal.

Of course your friends might be on isps that throttle torrents, so you might not be the slow link in the chain.

But... can I use the router that I got with virgin and use it, with sky coz this is the point that with this router it works as I want, but I don't know with others.... besides I'd like to change it coz is quite old.

Isn't the sky one like Virgin Media do now, ie the all-in-one unit? If so, then I personally dont know its possible unless they give you an option on their router to turn it into modem mode like Virgin do.

At home I got modem and router... so... I don't know if you understood what I meant...
