I checked the website, £470 for the 3070, 700 for the 3080, and 1500 for the BFGPU I haven’t heard anything about a 3060 I got it wrong in the title @PeegeeTips @Poneros

Good choice I think I’ll keep my r7 2700 until the new models come out- also I wonder what intel cpu team are up toI will be using a 3080 with my r5 2600 for awhile til I can get a 4700/4600.
@Poneros my Ryzen 7 2700 would be fine with the 3070 right ?
What CPU would you pair with the upcoming geforce 3060 models.
are any of these cards going to struggle with ANY game played at 1080p? seems a bit of a redundant marker. My RX480 still maxes out almost any game at 1080p.What resolution are you playing at? If 1080P, then I'd get a high clocked Intel i5, as Intel still performs best in games at 1080P.
If you can hold out until Zen 3 releases, AMD may be able to match Intel's 1080P performance, or may surpass it. That said, new Intel CPU's release later this year as well, depends how long you'd like to wait.
But just think you could get the 3080 for £100 more and get better performance but you'd get less memory...i'm liking the idea of a 3070Ti with all 3072 shaders and 16GB of 18Gbps memory for $599...
I would wait for the rtx3060 spec`s first but a few have said it will close to the old rtx2080 if that helps.
The CPU would be the bottleneck there but what speed is your RAM?@Saul Farrell Your right, I have 32gb for ram, but only a R7 2700, would i bottleneck ???
Yeah but what speed?@Saul Farrell i got 32s with Corsair vengeance pro
No as in the speed. 2233mhz? 3200mhz? 3600mhz? It should say on the box or in task manager@Saul Farrell 2x16gb
Okay so then yes the next thing to upgrade would be the CPU but for this generation you should be fine so long as you're gaming at 1440p or 4k and not 1080p@Saul Farrell oh sorry, 3600 not oc
