New Rules for Suitable Clothing on Tests...

In all cases it’s a legal requirement that riders wear an approved and correctly fastened motorcycle helmet,* with suitable eye protection (*an exception is made for members of the Sikh religion wearing a turban).

Are they serious?, I could wear a turban instead of a helmet

But would you want to???

How about both?

Hahah, I know a sikh who played that angle on the first day of his training, he lasted about thirty minutes before pulling over and asking to go back to get a helmet :D

I think this is rubbish, I wear the full getup (boots, jacket, etc) when i travel to work in the mourning on the bike, but its not the law. All you have to wear is a helmet so you should be able to wear what ever you want plus helmet on your test.

What the point of this, wear the right gear for your test but once you've past you can wear what you want? (shell suit etc) You cant have one rule for test and another for the rest of the time it ridiculous.

Teach people the importance of wearing the right gear, but you cant have one set of rule for the test and one set for real life it needs to be the same.

Rant over..
If they want to do something useful make it law for children to wear helmets on bicycles.
