I've been tinkering around looking at a new build recently and have decided to bite the bullet and go for a 4090 based rig. I have tried to do my due diligence, but will admit, I have neither the time or tech knowledge to drill too far into the best options.

I'd appreciate any ideas you guys might have; "save on this, to improve on this, etc". Almost exclusively a gaming machine, no streaming or work related requirements. I plan to pair it up with a AW3423DW and will upgrade the CPU when we know more about the new X3D chips. This is pretty much top end of my budget.

TIA

My basket at OcUK:

If you went with the TUF B650-PLUS WIFI you'd save £100 or so, though I think you'd lose the primary PCI-E 5.0 (since it is 4.0). Personally I don't care, but you might.

The 7600 non-X saves about £30.

Kingston have a 32GB kit of 6000 (XMP-based) for £170, no RGB though. I think the EXPO version is another £20. Potential saving of £60.

WD SN770 1TB would save you £40, though I do like having DRAM on my boot drive.

My only comment on your list would be that the Suprim X seems to suffer badly from coil whine as per this thread:

Thanks for the replies. I only really went for the Suprim X due to the clock speed, though I doubt I would notice a few cycles here and there.

I'm a big fan of Zotac as they offer a 5 year warranty if registered within 30 days otherwise it's 3 years. The arctic cooler comes with thermal paste

Cheers, I'll have a look.

Gigabyte and Zotac seem to be the best for not having coil whine - my understanding from that thread.

Zotac great warranty and Gigabyte have a UK returns Centre (assuming you are in the UK)

Looking at the Asus QVL (something I've only really read about tonight, yay for night shifts) for the mobo, it seems the memory I listed might not be fully compatible, so would you think the Kingston below might be a better option?

Most memory will work wether it's on the qvl list or not but if supported would be easier for technical support.
