New Ryzen build issues.

How you you undervolt with afterburner?

There was an issue with a few of the early rtx cards where the ram could become unstable at stock clocks and this would make the cards artifact similar to what your experiencing. By underclocking the cards memory with programmes like msi afterburner it was possible to correct this although it would mean a small hit on performance. You would just need to drag the memory clock MHz slider to the left till it shows say a -500 offset then hit apply.

How's the Gpu temps looking?

Well in that case I'll be sending back anyway... I think strapping a 280mm aio to it to then underclock it is a bit of a waste

I should be able to get a replacement... I've only had it a week. Taobao is pretty good in China. Just need to find a Chinese person to help. £600 gpu in the post is always sketchy.

I've put my old gtx1080 in there and no problems so far.

Fairplay this build is turning out to be a complete mess... I'm thinking of sending the lot back. Spent an entire week trying to get this rig finished. :@

-GPU won't even get close to it's old OC. Crashing at +150core/+700mem (was at +180 / +800).
-Can't enable Windows HDR (flick the switch, screen of artifacting then switch goes back).
-I've lost ability to set my TV to advanced HDMI mode, so can no longer select 1440p @ 60hz in Nvidia CP or games.
-FPS is noticably a little lower than old system. How is that even possible? 4770k > 3600? 2400ddr3 > 3200ddr4?

Not sure if anyone comes back to this thread via google but thought id mention that...

the gpu issue turned out to be the rtx2080 needing 2 SEPARATE pcie cables from the psu: 1 x 8 pin and 1 x 6pin. NOT a daisy chained dual connector with 2x6+8pin and only one connection to psu. I did get another gpu in the end and had similar issues with it when daisychained.

Have now got the r5 3600 in a new system and again temps are very high, idling around 40 -62 so yes normal. I now have a noctua nh-c14s with 2x phanteks ph-f140mp

hdr still not working propperly.... oh microsoft, you dont complete me
