Hi all,
I’m looking to build my first PC mainly for 4K video editing with decent, not great, gaming capabilities. I want to make sure I pick compatible components with the highest possible performance for my budget (£1500).
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Ryzen 5 3600
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus
GPU: MSI GTX 1660 Gaming X 6G
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 3200MHz
Main drive: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 (500 Go)
Case: NZXT H510
PSU: Corsair RM650x

Could add better cooler.
Bundled Wraith Prism won't stay quiet if all 12 cores are hammered heavily.

Again in non gaming use with mainstream graphics card 550W PSU would be more than enough.

GPU performance , you can get away with 1660 Super just fine , push 16 core ryzen or 8 core intel. Better yet ditch for Resolve and that 12 core ryzen destroys intel ! but you do need a better GPU- that program EATs HARDWARE!

also, RAM SPEED- Ryzen can get away with lower amount so 32GB but faster speed and with intel lower speed but higher amount

16 Core ryzen + 32GB ram 3600hz + 1660 super

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,515.09 (includes shipping: £13.20)

intel i9 9900 non k as all core boost is high enough to beat 12 core Ryzen without raising heat or power . 64GB of ram instead of 32GB and 2060 vs 1660 Super
su p

use same cooler for Ryzen as i forgot

the 16 core ryzen gives flex with Adobe updates as when Zen first launched 8 cores couldn't beat 4 core intel on it , which was daft , updates improved 1st gen Ryzen to the point now is better Dollar to Performance. Push 16 cores if you can!

adjusted intel for 9900 & 2060 super for extra VRAM 8GB vs 6GB
