New Saints Row II screens

Some new screens are out for Saints Row II. Anyone know when this is due out and how do you expect this to stack up against GTA IV?

I enjoyed the first one, meant to buy it again for cheap but couldn't really be arsed to do all the missions again

Think they probably are, just enhanced (as is the fashion with early screenies) with extra AA.

I would expect a big new title like that to resemble those shots.

I loved Saints Row.

I will be getting both GTA and Saints Row.

I get so annoyed at people saying "OMFG SAINTS ROW HAS LIEK COPIEZ *** GTA WTF LOL!!!"

Get over it. It is healthy for the genre!!

Godammit, I forgot all about SR2. Now thats 3 key games for 2008 which I need! Grr, screenies don't work here.
SR1 surpassed San Andreas in so many ways. It bettered almost every aspect of SA apart from it's range of transportation. I so wanted to fly a plane at the airport :/

Saints Row never used rendered cut scenes. They were all done with the game engine because your character's appearance was customiseable. I expect nothing less this second time round. I think it's scheduled for September. It would be suicide to launch it alongside GTA:IV.

Very good point about the cut scenes. I hadn't thought of that.

I dont think it will be out till the end of the year, THQ arent stupid they know GTA will have all the attention for a few months after its release.

Septembers good - should just about start getting bored of GTAIV by then

I did like Saints Row, but found I got bored of it a little too easy. Anyone else find this or was it just me?

I certainly got bored of it quicker than GTA. But I loved the ragdoll in it. I used to spend hours just running people over, or deliberately running in front of traffic while in Insurance Fraud mode.
