Ok got a brand new Samsung SM-226BW here for a customer, its connected by DVI to his new PC I just build.

I have noticed a Black Gap where the Picture (Windows Desktop) ends and the Top Bezel is supposed to meet it.

This cannot be adjusted in Digital so I tried Analogue and its not fixable as when I move the Windows Desktop about it simply enters this black gap.

I then Googled some info and that includes 1 post in this forum where some Panels had a bucked Bezel and that I'm not alone.

I then got out a 1meter Aluminium Spirit Level and gave it a good rub with a cloth to make sure no grit on it then sat it on all 4 sides of the Panel's Bezel and I found the Top Bezel was bowed upwards at the center so the black gap is broader there.

Removed the Spirit Level and gently pressed down with the palm of my hand on the top Bezel and I can get rid of the black gap at centre but its still there partly between the centre and both sides (like 1/3 the way between both sided and the centre) because I cannot press too hard and would need 3 hands.

I have used a good few Samsung 22" now but all SM-223's, do you think this could be classed as a cause for an RMA as its really annoying to the eye and you are drawn to it.

I could actually see the Bow with my eyes before I started to look into this but just wanted confirmation that others had seen the same.

It's an obvious manufacturing defect so send it back pronto for a full refund and go with another model (as from what you've said this is a problem afflicting other people too).

Ok TY, knew not a lot would reply, only if you ask a Dupe question you get 100's (like 2GBv4GB) lol.

I need get done ASAP and at no loss to my pocket as its for a customer, OCUK can pick it up and swap for another the same but hopefully not defeated.

P.S out of all the Sammy TV's and Monitor's I have bought this is 1st I have had this issue.
