Any thoughts on this build? I have an old Antec Sonata case and as I don't game on the pc I'm guessing the integrated graphics will be fine.

Intel Core i5-2400 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor

Asus P8P67 LE Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive

Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply

GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel

Samsung SpinPoint F4 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache

Thanks!

Good choice of hardware.

The P8P67 LE is a great board, you considered going for a 2500K for some overclocking action?

The Geil ram is an excellent choice we found these will run at supidly low volts (1.40!) in certain situations!

The geil ram is awesome. I'm running 8GB of it, it's incredible. Thanks Nath, I'll lower the voltage on mine then, it's currently at 1.5 I think (geil's official voltage I believe).

+1 on getting the 2500 K if you can stretch. It's an incredible chip.

As NathWraith mentions - if you want to overclock at all, then going for the i5 2500K (with the unlocked multiplier) is the way to go. With a decent cooler 4.6GHz is certainly achievable.

However, if you do go down the overclocking road then this doesn't allow you to use integrated graphics (P67 = overclcoking, no integrated graphics / H67 = no overclocking, integrated graphics). If you value integrated graphics more than overclcoking, then a H67 board like this would be a good bet. Though if you do want to overclock, stay with the p67 board, go for the i5 2500K and pick up a cheap graphics card like this which is approxiamtely as powerful as the integrated graphics.

Ok, think I will go this route so I have the option of overclocking in the future.

A few more questions!

Is the stock cooler ok if you don't overclock?

Do I need a converter to put the SSD in a normal bay, or does it come with one?

Windows 7 64bit? Sorry noob question but I don't know the difference between 32 and 64bit!!

Thanks!
