...anyone heard it? It's called ''Super Colossal''....excellent all round. A bit funkier than his previous couple of records, but the musicmanship, 'feel' and groove makes this essential...in my opinion his best record in years.

A lot of the tones are awesome, it's good he's still coming up with original guitar tones and instrumention (he's experimented with a lot of layering on this album as you can hear) 'A Cool New Way' is fantastic, as is Made of Tears.

It's a shame he's spoiling a cool new way live (I saw him in Manchester last Fri) as it's one of the few songs that he really holds back on and puts some awesome dynamics into (well he does on all of them but this is really subtle) as when he plays it live he really attacks it :(

I think Strange Beautiful Music has been his best 'new' album even if it's 3 years+ old now, I think it's in the same league as Crystal Planet definately.

I don't really like any of the tracks on that album. Crowd Chant is cool, but the rest are all a bit bland and boring to me. Pity, I really wanted to like it. :o

Bah, apologies! I was too lazy to search.... :o

I think, as Andelusion said, that 'A Cool New Way' and 'Made of Tears' are definitely standouts, but the album as a whole is pretty good. I prefer it to 'Strange Beautiful Music', and it's more adventurous than 'Is There Love in Space?' (though that's also good, just not as consistent..).

it was an ok album. But i found that none of the songs were very memorable on it.
Nothing beats his Strange Beautiful Music album, that album is awesome

I think it's awesome. Got it on Sunday and it's been on repeat ever since. Not as flashy as his others but just has a great tone and a great feeling to it.
