New SB Audigy Driver

Hi there, Creative have released a new driver for the Audigy range of sound cards. It's version 02.08.0004 dated 24th January 2006, approx 34Mb download. Available here: Audigy Driver

been using this since it came out (was using latest X-Fi drivers on my ZS) and no probs, just a little better in OpenAL stuff (its not beta any more YaY!!

Will try these tonight, hopefully it will accept the fact that I DO have an audigy 2 in my system, half their drivers refuse to install because it claims "no compatible hardware found" or some other BS, and then I have to try and do it manually.

I'm having the same problem with my audigy 4 SC, how do u install them manually?

Stone the crows!

The new driver actually installs - a first for Creative. Previously I had to use beta drivers or install drivers manually as all the official drivers (including the ones on the driver CD) wouldn't detect my sound card - an all to common problem. Hopefully all that ******** is in the past.

Sound quality is OK (I'm no audiophile) and the console has been updated. Shame there is no Open AL support in this driver though.
