New screen for the Ultima Mobile

Hi,

I've seen in some reviews that the screen of the Ultima Mobile is everything but great. I am thinking in purchasing the laptop and buy another lcd screen elsewhere, as there are companies that sell the lcds for laptop repairing.

Any suggestion?

are you on about changing it so the resolution is higher or are you just looking for a different brand of glossy screen?

I just want a decent screen with the same resolution and with LED backlight. It can be done.

As far as I know, there are at least two different screens mounted on the Clevo M860TU chassis (QDS003E and AUO1B7B). In the reviews it has been reported the screen is not bright.

Which one is on the chassis of the Ultima Mobile (Hardware Id in the details of the driver)?

i couldnt tell you, i guess it would makes sense for it to be possible on clevo and other barebone chassis.
