Hey there. I was hoping some of you guys with more knowledge about computer monitors could help me out a little…
Currently I have a pair of Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24″ – Mostly used for work, internet browsing and a small amount of casual gaming. So far I’ve been really quite pleased with these.
Now I’m wanting to buy another monitor – But it would purely be for viewing movies/Netflix/streams/etc. So I’m hoping for some advice / recommendations for this.
Few points:
– I was thinking I’d rather have 16:9 (The 2412M’s are 16:10 which is great for work etc, but I’d like to loose the black bar when watching most things…)
– I guess full HD / 1080 would be nice to have due to my intended use.
– I need it to be VESA mountable.
– Size: Same as the 2412M’s (24″) or a few inches bigger maybe? – Perhaps 27″? (I’ll be viewing from quite close, so I don’t want anything stupidly big – Otherwise I’d buy a TV I guess!)
– Price range: Hmmh, I’m really not sure. I’m quite willing/happy to pay a decent amount to get something that’ll give me a really good picture quality for my intended use.
If there’s anything else I missed that’d help, let me know.
