Evening all,

Wifey has 2025 Leon FR, however, there's a couple of things we can't figure out:

Lane Assist - she likes to have this activated. I can see it is activated on the dash, yet when we took the car out, Lane Assist wasn't working. Any ideas?

Auto Stop/Start - auto set to stop. We both dislike this, on my motor and her previous motor, there was a button to activate/deactivate. I cannot see a single button press, i can see the option if i go through several layers of the infotainment system. Anyone know if this is the only option to activate/deactivate?

Little niggles, but just trying to sort!

Can you code out auto start stop using a programmer ?

On BMW's usually they used to be on by default..you would.use the button turn it off.but so many cars these days have had these programmed as default off due to it being a pain feature and puts extra stress on the starter motor

It's a lease through work, so not messing with that type of stuff. I'm sure there must be a button or quicker option we are missing.

Having watched a fair few new Leon reviews lately I've never seen a dedicated button mentioned, so unless there's a way to add a shortcut on the main display I think it'll require going through the menus every time.

An OBD11 reader might be worth considering if you want it disabled permanently, I've got one I use with my previous-gen Leon to change/add settings and it's all very straightforward via the app.

Did a bit of Google FU and found as you say. The physical button has been removed, there is no way to set a shortcut on the main screen, the quickest way someone has found is 3 button press - Vehicle icon > Smart Assistant > Stop/Start menu - what a pain, but that works :)

Going to take the car out for a drive tomorrow and try the lane assist.

Also found it had park assist - cool toy :)

What conditions have you tried the lane assist in ? You have to be going at a fast enough speed and the cameras have to be able to pick out the lanes. If visibility is reduced or impaired in some way (such as heavy rain, fog etc..) it can de-activate it. You also need to be going above a set speed.

You'll find it only usually kicks in on dual carriageways and motorways and the like. Also need to remember it switches off when you put indicators on etc..

You'll find that if you start to drive towards or on the white lines, you'll feel a gentle tug on the steering wheel as it starts to pull you back over and into what it thinks will be the ideal centre line. Lane keep assist (as with most other safety features) is on by default on new cars. You have to actively go into the menu to turn it OFF.
