Just got a server (dual core xeon x2 and 6x76gb hard drives) really cheap (£30 and running perfectly)
Know nothing about them but was thinking of putting it in the loft and running it from home so i can host my own website and stuff. I have a really fast internet connection at home (49mb down and 6mb up) and have checked i can run my own server and thats fine.
How would i go at setting it up so i can remotely add files via filezilla for instance and host my own site?
Its runnign windows server 2008 but could i put ubuntu server on easily enough and is that a better os?
