Hello Forum
I am planning on building a new machine that will be used as a server at home. Here is the hardware I have listed so far:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 Haswell
Mobo: Supermicro X10SLH-F
RAM: Crucial CT2KIT102472BD160B 32GB (4x 8GB) Memory Kit
SSD: Samsung 256GB 840 Pro Series Basic SSD 7mm Ultraslim
PSU: Seasonic SS-450RM 450W Modular Power Supply DC-DC 80+ GOLD
Case: Fractal Design Define Mini mATX Case No PSU
CPU cooler: be quiet! SHADOW ROCK PRO SR1
So the questions I have is:
1) Is the chosen CPU cooler good enough for the chosen CPU?
2) Is there enough clearance between the memory modules and the CPU cooler? ie: will the memory touch the CPU cooler (or not)
3) Will the CPU cooler fit ok in the Fractal Design Mini case? The manufacturers website say it can take up to 160mm CPU coolers (and the be Quiet one is 158mm) but I just want to make sure.
Thanks for any help!
