Got my HP Proliant Microsever - upgraded the ram with another 4gb stick ... so theres 5gb now.
(next to a windows 7 64 bit PC)

Have 2 x 2tb drives fitted - 2 more on the way.

I was thinking of using Freenas... installed that ok - but now Im looking at Windows Home Server 2011 (Vail?)

So before doing anything on it thought Id try the 30 day eval version.

I have a 4gb Flash Voyager (3.74gb avail)

Have downladed the Windows 7 USB tool and the Windows Vail ISO.

Have tried now 2 install using the tool - it seems to take forever and then at the end says cannot copy files....

Have I missed something - does this have to be installed on a bigger than 4gb stick ?

has anybody installed WHS 2011 to there HP proliant - any particular errors ?
I do have a spare DVD drive here but server is tucked away nice and neat and bit of a bitch to get it out .....
 
i've installed WHS 2011 on my microserver after upgrading the RAM to 4 GB no errors.

I also used the Win7 DVD tool but my USB key was > than 4GB as i believe it refused to go on my 4GB one
 
hmmm I bought a 16gb drive.... and it gets to 96% and says cant copy files over again!

Going to download the ISO again....
