Obviously, if I had money dropping out my arse I'd be going Michelin Pilot Road 3's, however I've not got £280 notes at the moment, so looking at the following bearing in mind I need a Front: 120/70/17 and Rear: 180/55/17... probably Pirelli Diablo Stada... yep an old tyre BUT can pick up for £139 quid the pair. So, question is, anyone using them or would NOT recommend them?

if not, why not, if so why... and also, any other recommendations for under £180?

Will check the Maxxi's out. Looking for a sports tourer that will last... currently got "Dunlop Sportsmax D208F" on there, but they're shot.

Mmm, went to a local place, who have a bit of a deal on, Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2's or Angels for £225 for front and rear, fitted and balanced all in, seems like a very good deal to me... anyone have these?

Right, just to let everyone know, I went old school and stayed with the Pirelli Diablo Strada St's... reason being is... I'm certainly of no talent to realise the difference between a good bike tyre and a bad one... and from what I've seen of reviews etc, it's pretty tough to make a BAD tyre from the big makes... so I stayed with the Pirelli as I got them for £139 delivered... so £20 notes per tyre for fitting meaning I've got a brand new set for £179 notes... that's not bad me thinks.

Obviously as I become a better rider and reach awesomeness, I may find I'm able to see the difference... however, for now, lets use this set as a benchmark... it's an older tech obviously but hey...
