Hi all
this is my first build and im worried about the temp.

i have ASUS M4A87TD EVO
Phenom II X4 955, 1x 2Gb ram.
ASUS Probe gives these readings
Vcore =1.27v
+3.3v = 3.19v
+5v = 5.12v
+12v = 11.64v
CPU = 51c
MB = 41c
CPU fan =2490rpm

also when i hav a few programs running it goes up to nearly 70c.

not sure what to do . Any advice

Touch one finger on the case chassis & another on the heatsink, If the heatsink is not warming up then reseat your cooler & reapply your TIM.

Also how is your fan lay out ? I swear by In at the front & exhaust it out the back & I line my rear case fan up with my heatsink if you get me. How's yours set up ?

standard cooler that came with the bundle. I have cpu fan plus a fan at the back in line with the heatsink. my case doesnt have much intake. a few holes on both sides.Do i need a new case?

With 1 side of temp reads Cpu 35c MB 35c.

dont understand wat you mean (Touch one finger on the case chassis & another on the heatsink, If the heatsink is not warming up then reseat your cooler & reapply your TIM.)

4T5 is meaning that if your cooler isn't hot to touch then it is not transferring heat away from your cpu properly which could be due to a bad mount.

what case do you have ? if you don't know could you post a pic of it ?

also try to lower the temp at which the motherboard increases the cpu fan speed, there should be asus software that allows you to control that.
