Hey,

I'm at the point of buying a whole new configuration. Main purposes: overall use. Games, internet, office, etc.... Very important: performance and silence.

Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos Silent Full Tower Case

As PSU, I was thinking about the Seasonic S12 - 600W, the modular one. As cooler the Thermalright Extreme thingy.

For silence, I'd probably have to change the GPU-cooler. What are your overall thoughts here?

Another question, I have 2 SATA HDs and one SATA Writer. Will this work to install windows Vista or will I still need an IDE drive? Can I load SATA drivers of an USB stick? Can someone shed some light on this? The PSU I took, is it as quiet as everyone says?

Any other comments are welcome...

Tempted to say leave the GPU cooler as it is... its not that noisey...

Seasonic are class PSUs to be honest with you I have one... the PSU is really really quiet

The HDDs and SATA writer should just work no problem

Thanks for the info. Will a VISTA installation see those disk immediately? Do I still need a floppy?
