New setup

Hi guys i'm looking for a new system for Gaming mainly for games such as Fifa and Pro Evo however i would like to play games such as crisis on full settings.
I haver around 1k to spend and was looking at the Ultima Vortex Gx2, would this last a while or not? Any other reccomendations?

The Ultima Vortex GX2 is a great system and a very popular one here at OcUK.

I'd also recommend taking a look at the Overclocked section of the OcUK PC builder.

No, it's a ATi CrossFire motherboard not an Nvidia SLi one. This means that while 1 Nvidia card will work with it, you won't be able to run 2. GX2 works because technically it's 2 card's in one.

Personally I would go for the "Titan Edge Wolfdale" system, it's on offer for the week with over £100 quid off. With the upgrade options upgrade the CPU to an E8400 for £30 and upgrade the case to an Antec 900 for £30 and you have yourself a great gaming system that will last a few years in my opinion. Includes a 4870 which is a really high end card.

Wow the wolfdale looks damn impressive, am i right in saying it has 2 graphics cards... and ill be able to upgrade to a quadcore right?Not that it's needed at the moment.Also does casing really matter?

No only has one GPU, the board will be able to take a quad at a later date if required.

(Board will have an internal gpu but this will be disabled)

No the wolfdale does not have 2 graphics cards, it does however have a 4870 which is a very good card, and if you were referring to the two graphics cards as being the 4870 x2 then technically speaking it's just 1 card as it fits into one slot, but yes it's two cards combined.

Yes you will be able to upgrade to a quad in the future, however you will not really need to, to be honest.

Also casing is not a big issue, you could stick with the standard case if you wish, but it will run hotter than another case, such as the one phaded offers.
