Looking to replace my SB75G2 and was looking at either the SD37p2 or a Sugo and mATX board.

which would be the better option and why.

Looking to put 2 320gb Sata drives in there, along with 2gb, and an ATA X1950 GFX card.

Thanks

Well, i'm back from the shops, and after careful consideration i ended up with

Sugo SG01e
Asrock Conroe 945G-DVI
2GB Corsair Twinx 6400
Conroe E4300 Retail
Hiper Type-R 580W

Will be using my existing DVDRW, HDDS etc

Just need to source a cooler (Quiet) and GFX (Quiet one that offers good performance)

Thanks for all the advise guys ;)

Just need to put a Papst blowing overthe HDD's now,and i'm all done.

Also got a shuttle SD37P2 coming so i can compare and sell the one i dont want - otherwise i always end up thinking "what if".

Ta!.

Also got a sd37p2 here, will be building that up in the morning and trying the e4300 and 8800 in there to see which i prefer.

whichever i dont like will be going up on MM tomorrow night.

I know i will lose money, but if it dont feel right, its gotta go :)

looks like the SD37 is the keeper. Just fits better in the space provided. no practical difference in the performance.

I am going to lose the flexability of the Sugo, but gain the slightly more compact size of the SD37.

Watch for the Hiper / Sugo / Asrock 945-DVI mobo going up on MM this weekend. :D ;) :D

Did you move the HDD cage back to fit the GTX in there?

My Sugo is coming in the next few days, but I've put off getting a gfx card for a month or so. I've heard that the 5.25" cage needs modifying too, however it doesn't look like you've cut anything out!

Was it just space that made you choose the shuttle over the Sugo? My current shuttle SG61 is an extremely tight squeeze with 2xHDD and DVD-RW with 6800 + TV Card, so I did want something will a little more room.

more to do with the space i have to put the case in in the computer room.

The 5.25" cage stayed as is and there is about 7mm clearance between the cage and card.

How well did the GFX fit in the Shuttle, it looks scary big ?

Snugly!

Did you try overclocking the E4300/Asrock combo? If so, did you have any luck?

Got it to 240 mhz before i stripped it down and moved the CPU to the shuttle.

Overclocking is not one of the asrocks strong points.

my maiden post on OCUK.. yay
anyway having finally settled in London, and signed up at OCUK, I want to set up a box.
I have done some reading and the G-O seems to be

Sugo SG01 Black
ASrock Conroe945G-DVI
E6300
2gb RAM

i was thinking a 512MB XFX7950, i am an occasional pc gamer, since i have an 360 now, though i if i can get by on something cheaper all the better.
No idea whats happening with RAM nowadays, so recommend me something along with
DVD burner
PSU
Keyboard combo
wireless LAN adapter
and anything else to make me a sexy sff system.

cheers

Jon

got a Sugo, and Zalman 8000 Cooler in MM at the moment, but you probably dont have access to there yet ;-)

at the botom of each post (next to the edit button) is a button marked [Trust] - when you set this up it allows users to see an email address for you and it is a repositry for comments detailing deals you have done on the forum - users often refer to it as a trust rating (similar to ebay's feedback system)
