Hi all,

Building an SFF project and have come so far with the configuration. I already have the case and monitor

AMD AMD CPU Ryzen 9 9900X
Mobo MSI Mortar WIFI
64 GB RAM G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit
SSD M2 2 TB WD Black SN850X 2 TB
Power Supply Lian Li EDGE EG0850 850W Black, PC-Netzteil
CPU Air Cooler Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Core II

Keyboard / Mouse Various
Case Fractal Design Terra
Monitor ASUS ProArt PA27JCV

Monitor arm

Important: no GPU at the moment, but maybe adding a RTX5070 next year.

Need some advice regarding the Power supply and AIO fit - any recommendations for alternative when fitting in this Terra case?

Thank you!

Quickly Realizing the notions between mini and micro and all these available cases. I need to start to educate myself better about the options available and compatiblity ...

I build a decent amount of SFF builds and put together a Terra build for a mate earlier in the year.

You're not getting an AIO in that case, it's not even close to being able to support an AIO!

PSU wise, I really only go with Corsair's SF power supplies for SFF builds. I'm running an SF1000 in my Ncase M2 - but the 850/750 are both fantastic options, and the 750 is probably the best value one.

You can save money with other options (Lian Li etc.) but I've stuck with what has never given me issues in the past.

If you're just cooling a 9900X you're gonna need the biggest cooler you can feasibly fit in the Terra, outside of also undervolting too. With the Terra your biggest limitation is CPU Cooler height/ GPU balance.

The build I did for my mate was a 7800X3D with a 5070FE - and we were both happy with thermals/noise by the end, but it's a tight fit. If you do need an AIO it might be worth looking at a larger case, the Dan A4 H2O supports a top 240mm AIO and isn't too much bigger.

This helps, thanks!
Clearly, did not realise just how small this case is. I think I am keeping it for another project and will build into something mid tower to be able to fit an AIO properly.
