New sim card, free texts?

Hey all, my girlfriend just got a new orange sim card, which has the deal of top up a tenner and get 300 free texts, which she did. She then text me to make sure it was working, and it was, she wasnt charged.

She then text 13 other people her number (in one go) and its charged her 40p. I know this isnt a lot, just wondering why its charging for some texts but not others?

Also, another question while im here... Magic numbers, do they mean free calls to that person at any time?

Magic numbers on PAYG means 1hr of call time only costs 15p. So anything from 1 second up to 1hour will cost 15p

As for the txts, did she get a text confirming the free 300 txts? Normally takes 48hours to go through on a new sim.

I think it's the Dolphin package you got. If so then all topup awards are awarded the following month. So if you topped up by £10 now you will get 300 free texts next month.

I just changed my package to Dolphin and also had a few free texts but was then charged 10p each.

Might have changed then since i did mine. I dont have a Dolphin sim tho, i just signed up to the "Free text top up" tarrif on their site.

When i started the deal for the first time, i topped up by £10, then had to wait 48hours for it to go through. Then it works £10 minamum per month to get the rewards for the following month.

If you miss the top up date, they give me another 48hrs top up time to get the reward.
