Hi all

Some advise please i payed for a company to design and host a website for me and their just rude and service is a joke. Now the design has been done so they did that part im trying to get my hosting costs back and go elsewhere. I know nothing about webdesign can i just go to anther company to host and mantain it, but can i take this clowns name of the bottom of my site and does he have to pass on the template as i payed for it?

i would say it depends on the terms and conditions of the contract, had a problem with the father-in-laws website developers so i just got them to send all the files and hosted them elsewhere, a good hosting company like TSO or vidahost will help you with this.

Taking their link off might be breaking the T&C of using the template.

Does your site have a database? What does it say in your contract?

Think is sorted we think, after talking to my legal team at work for advises, the web designer turned into a very nice chap and our website goes live on tuesday, why people just cant do what there payed for in the 1st instance is beyond me.

If the designer was a prat before, I'd be aiming to move soon as possible, get hosting from a 3rd party. That way he cannot try and hold you to ransom.
