New Sky Q box - Is it missing an obvious "Multi-Room" solution?

So I beleive the new SkyQ box can stream out to multiple devices wirelessly or wires across the household.

Surely an obvious use of this is if Sky release a remote terminal for in effect Multi-Room that simply communicates with the SkyQ box so you can watch anything on it on a TV in another room (from the source SkyQ box).

Obviously your network speed might limit the quality of the data transmitted, BUT, this is no different to what it is surely already doing?

So, you could put in a Sky remote terminal device in your bedroom say, connected to your network by a good homeplug, and use a Sky Remote controller to watch anything you want streamed from the SkyQ box in the lounge? The only limitation would be - which I think if fine - is all the boxes would be controlling the same satellite channel, if indeed that's what they're all watching (instead of recorded stuff or on deman stuff).

I've seen no suggestion Sky are going to offer this, but it seems such an obvious solution to offer?

Yeah I've thought about the same.

Multiroom is really limiting in that you can't share recordings.

One master box would work really well, all lite sky boxes can access recorded tv and on demand plus the live sky feed, and pay extra for a second live sky feed.

There was a Shared Planner trial that was going for around nine months but this was then shelved for some reason. I suspect functionality similar to what you describe above is coming.
