I would really appreciate it if someone could help and advise me of a combined modem and router that will work with Sky Fiber .im looking to use it as a vpn as well .my budget is between 100 120 pounds thanks

Don't think you'll find a router with combined fibre modem. Better trying to get a hold of a BT Openreach modem and a separate router.

Netgear D7800 nighthawk
Draytek 2750vn
TP-Link WR1043ND v1.8
Billion 8200N

might be a bit pricey though. think i paid 150 for mine D7800.

I was under the impression that standard dsl modem/routers didn't work with Sky fibre due to the type of MER encapsulation that they used? Does the WR1043 even have a modern in it? I had one a few years ago and I'm sure it didn't.

The VDSL2 router must support MER.

The VR600 supports Sky Fibre. http://www.tp-link.com.au/products/details/cat-15_Archer-VR600.html

1.Fixed the issue that router doesn't support Sky(MER).

I used a Billion 8800NL on Sky to replace the SR102 router.

Had to extract the username/password from what I remember from the SR102 sky router to get the Billion working.
