does anybody know when the succesor of LGA775 will be launch? I heard It will be next year? does anybody know something?

I had heard for Nehalem too.......we know that a fair chunk of current (P35/965/975) boards will support Penryn (45nm) core chips.....and Nehalem is mooted to have on-board memory controller, so this will likely involve a platform (socket) change...

I hope Nehalem won't take to much time to be released next year as I currently have £2400 to spend on a high end setup :D

Its likely to be *at least* a year, to 15 months, there's no way I could wait that long with a budget burning a hole...:D

Does anyone know if any existing chipsets/boards will support Penryn CPUs? 680i 650i etc...? Or will it be another total upgrade job? (groan, just gone DDR2 don't wanna go to pointless DDR3!)

Edit - just found my answer: http://event.asus.com/mb/45nm/

Yay :)
