If you're buying a avr with 9.4.6 system it's likely wires won't really concern you.

Aye indeed. Kind of feels like this is a modded Sony HT-A9 system as forces you to use the sub that's compatible with that system and the same ISH rears compatible with the soundbar. Would have been nicer if they made it 7.2.4 or 5.2.4, however I can see people that would definitely be interested in this.
