Just as I've shelled out a fortune for my X1060, Sony announce some new players and they good gorgeous.

No touchscreen though, which I really love on my X1060, no wi fi, which is no loss, as it's pretty awful on mine, but a 64GB capacity, which is a big plus for me.

It's got a slightly smaller OLED than the X1060 and the sound quality won't be any better I'd think, so I'll probably stick with what I have, for the moment, anyway.

Rather than release a new generation of players so soon after the X series, i'd much rather wait and have something looking like this but with a touch screen and working wifi/browser. FLAC support would be nice too given that there is a 64GB option.

They do look stunning though. The copper/brown one maybe a bit 'marmite' but IMO looks very classy :)

I find it very hard to understand why Sony mp3 players (well the S and X series that i know of) don't allow you to create a playlist on the fly, or even for that matter in any way without having to resort to a computer. I was shocked when i realised that my S639 couldn't do it and even more so after reading that the X series couldn't either. I wonder whether Sony will wake up and add this feature to this A series.

looks very very nice and more importantly has the s master amp i really need to try the sony sound with my ultrasones ,do they have a holographic sound stage as reported ? or maybe its a synergy thing with some iems- headphones
