New sound card problem :(

Ok,Got a new Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.
Before i installed this card,sound and mic worked fine,now only sound works. :confused:

Tried updating drvers and re-installing old HD audio software wich came with Mobo,But still Nothing :mad:

Mic works With sound recorder But Not with TeamSpeak

Any ideas?

What motherboard are you running, some of the motherboard drivers on the disk can kick the mic off?

You don't have the Windows XP SP3 do you?

I had a lot of problems reinstalling my HD Audio with SP3 - when I used just SP2 it worked perfectly.

Is this on Vista?

I've had no end of probs with the card, drivers and vista.

make sure in the sound config that the mic through the soundcard is the deafult/active instead of the onboar mic (left over from when you used it before?).

Go to the properties in the sound settings, should be able to specify input/output devices (it'll tell you what's active).

Make sure it's set then use the vista mic thing (pretty ****) or use teamspeaks voice test thing.

Also if you just installed SP1 it's causing a lot of sound drivers to be uninstalled. this is because of incompatibility (suppose they couldnt do much else but make it uninstall).
