New Sound Card

I'm on the hunt for a new sound card for mainly music but also some gaming. At the moment I am using the onboard sound on my MSI P67A-GD52 motherboard (Realtek ALC892) and while the sound on this onboard card is alright, I feel that in some ways it could sound a lot better on something else.

I have had a quick look on this section of the forum but I am bit lost as to weather to go for a Creative, or an Asus. I'm not particularly fond with going back to a Creative again after the horror of having to put up with the drivers and their software for years before, and after hearing good things about these Asus cards I may be willing to try one out for a change.

So, could any of you recommend me a good card to go for?

Thanks all - Liam

Thanks - from doing a bit more research the Xonar DG, it seems to be the highest recommend one in my budget so I may as well go for this one.

Thanks for notifying me about my sig as well, I will get this attended to :)
