New sound setup

The only game is WoW so don't really care about sound in games.
I listen to a LOT of music though, so it is only for music. So i only want a 2.1 system tbh. not even got room for a 5.1/7.1 tbh
 
You're talking a different language to me. I know what 2.1's etc are. but that is about it.

Why would I need an amp, if i am running it through a computer with computer speakers??...
 
So I should get a new sound card, a propper amp, and some non pc speakers?
How much is this going to cost, for a nice sounding thing?
