hi guys my old logitech Z series speaker has died so im on the lookout for a new set of speakers for my pc just for music listening.

Whats are the best ones between £130-£200?

I dont have a dac or a dedicated sound card my rig is in my sig.

Some good suggestions above. Stereo is certainly a far better choice for music, than 2.1; although the M-Audio AV32.1 is a good compromise compared to most 2.1 PC speakers. To be fair to the Z2300, they were good speakers. There have been some other good ones, such as Acoustic Energy Aego M; but even so, stereo is much better for music.

Another option is passive speakers and a small amplifier. Something like; Wharfedale Diamond 9.1, 220 or Q Acoustics 2020i and a maybe a Topping VX2.

Some good options. I’ve heard a lot of positives about them jbl’s But I would need a focusrite 212 with them pushing price up to £300 minus cables.

Actually you wouldn't. That could my fault, as I told someone a while back they'd need something with balanced output. It only states balanced on the rear of the speakers, but I didn't realise at the time that they accept both balanced and unbalanced inputs. It's in the manual.

A DAC might be a good option though. SMSL SD793II would do the job. Much cheaper than an audio interface and has optical, which is ideal to decouple the speakers from the PC electrically, getting round the possibility of electrical noise.
