Oh and it has to be wireless if possible says the wife

Stuff the wife. :)

Get some Z-5500's, apparently they're so good they should cost a bit over double what they actually cost. :)

Considering your budget allows the Z-5500's I don't see why not.

Mine might be here tomorrow, so, if they do I'll go into more detail but until then theres plenty of other people with them.

PS. I was originally going for the Z-5400's myself but thought the extra money was well spent in going for the Z-5500's. Also, Can't you get the Z-5500's if you really need wireless? Although some people reported interference with various wireless devices, phones, networks etc etc.

Edit: It appears that the Z-5500's don't have a wireless variant, but, is having 2 speakers using batteries at £40 extra (OcUK prices) really cost effective? :)

Its probably not worth going wireless as mentioned. A lot of hassle and unreliable. The Z-5500s can't be beat for a surround set at your budget, also as mentioned. If you really couldn't put up with the wires, it'd probably be best not bothering with surround at all and putting your money into a very nice stereo set (ie Hi-Fi)

Ok thanks chaps i will go for the Z-5500....wife is going to kill me but i`ll buy her a pink ipod or something to keep her sweet ;)
