New Speakers

Hi guys, im having complaints from my neighbour about a slight rumble in the evenings. Now although i turn the volume right down and have moved my sub off the floor some noise must still be getting through. I have a £30 budget and require a 2.1 system that allows me to isolate the speakers from the sub so that it can be turned off in the evenings. Any suggestions?

Rip up the floorboards and put in sound isolation foam. Or turn your sub right down.

The reason i want new speakers whereby i can isolate the sub is because my ones are cheap n nasty and dont allow me to also the flat is a purpose built jobby from 4 years ago so has very good soundproofing, but not so good vibration dampening. I think im going to go with these anyway Logitech X-230 2.1. These any good?

Just reduce bass control on the sub, or in windows tone controls (if sub lacks bass control)

I have but there is still some bass traveling. At 2 am when my neighbour is in bed the slightest rumble obviously annoys him so I need to eliminate all bass. Ive gone with the afore mentioned speakers anyway. Thanks for the help

In your situation, i'd get a fairly descent pair of stereo speakers; that way, the bass isn't likely to be too over-powering.

Either try a large slab of granite or similar and mount the sub on spikes or try putting the sub on some foam matting.
