Hello, i am looking to put together a new system, mostly going to be used for gaming and music.

budget is around £2500

Would appreciate your opinions on my spec and possible alternatives.

would personally get the retail 3770k as i comes with another 2 years of warranty which in my opinion is worth the extra tenner.

I would also get the samsung green RAM but other than that looks like a nice build not a fan of the case but there like marmite, have you considered smashing a few hundred on proper water cooling?

Why 2 x 3TB of drives? You may well be better off with a second SSD and a smaller HDD if you don't need 6TB of storage. A second SSD will certainly be quicker than 2x HDDs RAIDed if that's why you were getting them.

Do you need an i7? Why not an i5?

But for mostly gaming, a i5 3570K is all you need.
 
As for watercooling, i have not put much thought into it since i am rather clueless on the subject but have started looking around and may just go for it.

I needed the 2x 3tb drive's for the storage, but a friend has offered me his slightly used ones for cheap. so used the spare money another ssd for raid 0 (thanks for the idea), the i7 over the i5 mainly because i don't plan on upgrading.

the £2500 being a lot for gaming is rather relative since i paid almost the same 5 years ago and still have the exact same system,
i pretty much use it for everything just gaming take up the majority of the time spent on it.

Also revised the spec a little.

Removed the H100, looking into cpu/gpu watercooling at the minute, any suggestion's for reading material?
