Hi there,

Funds cleared ready to order, want ot order in time for delivery tomrrow, not sure when cut off time is so to be safe will order before 4 this afternoon. This is what i have come up with:

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
(£182.11)

Gigabyte GA_P35_DQ6 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
(£133.94)

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
(£99.86)

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA1065)
(£129.24)

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
(£91.64)

Total £647 inc P&P

Now this will go in a thermaltake armour Jr, I already have a 320gb WD caviar drive and 22" monitor, windows vista etc.

Any problems with compatibility?

Your quick replies will be greatly appreciated :)

Jamie

No problems with compatability but you are spending money for no obvious benefit. The Ram is overkill unless you are fairly seriously overclocking, PC6400 would be more than sufficient. The graphics card could just as easily be an OcUK model and save about £15 for no difference in performance. :)

Thanks for the reply, i just wanted reassuring that it was going to work togeather.

Parents very kindly footed the bill as a present for good exam results, so given a budget, i choose to use all of it, with that reassurance, the has order gone in, will be here tomrrow. Cant wait now, camera battries are charged :)

edit:- Thanks for all the quick replies, great forum and cant reply quick enough :). Your right about the not gaming much and its retail copy of vista, not sure what version to install yet; any thoughts on what would be best, ive heard not all programs are suitable for 64 bit, correct me if im wrong though.

I'm using Vista Home Premium x64 and don't really have any issues with most of the programs and hardware I use.
