Hi Guys,

Things its gotta have:
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz

Any case dont care if its plain or fancy. (Something cheap is best lol)
Doesnt need windows got that already..

So yeah let me know what you come up with!

Thanks Jordan!

You will struggle to get an I5 and a high graphics card on that tight budget. Heres my thoughts:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £189.95
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 460 Superclocked FTW 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (01G-P3-1363-KR) £113.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) £69.98
1 x OCZ ZS Series 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £49.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £43.19
1 x BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x Sony Optiarc AD-7280S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £15.98
Total : £610.16 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Or this if you want a high end graphics card:

1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) £69.98
1 x OCZ ZS Series 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £49.99
1 x Gigabyte H61MA-D3V Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £47.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £43.19

1 x Sony Optiarc AD-7280S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £15.98
Total : £615.20 (includes shipping : £11.75).

The second spec cannot be overclocked and the motherboard doesnt support overclocking either. However it is still a good CPU and the mobo has modern features. Depends what graphics card you want really.

The one you said about, (just seen up and seen two) im going for the Second one. ANd yeah normally i do build them but ive been asked to do a gaming budget one so im trying thought you guys might have some ideas!

Works Perfect!

Is this PC for somebody other than yourself? The first spec is the better spec but will not game as well as the 7850 and doesnt have 2GB VRAM but has a better processor and mobo.

Its for a good friend, but i spoke to him about GFX cards & Processors, so you think the first one? And his games are only like DayZ and BF 3

If hes only playing one monitor then the 460 will play it nicely even at 1080P. However also does he want to overclock, because if he doesnt then there is no real advantage going for the 3570K over the slightly cheaper version that cannot be overclocked.

The IB i5K is OEM to save some cash but this helped me get this excellent air cooler in the spec too so he can overclock. The Z77 mobo can overclock the CPU, it also has lucidMVP which uses the IGP to boost the GPU (6850) and you have quicksync which uses the IGP to speed up video encoding if the software supports it (helpful if he wants to rip the dvds to the HDD).

I do like the 460 (i have one myself) but he wont see much difference using the 6850. The 460 has CUDA support but for video encoding you'd want to use quick sync anyway. You can still overclock the 6850 and remember lucidMVP is boosting it too ;)

Case is a bargain and full of kit four 120mm fans, fan controller, digital temp display, cable management with a P4/8 extension cable included too.

Hope this helps any questions feel free to ask
