1 x 74 gig raptor + also storage HDD's
evga 6800gt 256mb
av8 3rd eye mboard
audigy zs sound

What do you think an upgrade to the following will be like, i'll be using my current cpu atm untill i choose to upgrade

Grahpics card: undecided, was looking into a BFG GeForce 7900 GT OC 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-018-BG) Price: £204.95 (£240.82 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Any suggestions? Mainly need help deciding a decent case + also graphics card that will last and run oblivion well.

thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, I'd probably pick the X1800XT 512mb at around £250 or if you can stretch the budget maybe look to the X1900XT as I think for the moment ATI offer superior value for money in the high end cards.

Case wise the Akasa Eclipse seems to be good or maybe the Antec P180, both are worth a look although it depends on your budget.

Just a thought!

Try the 2Gig in your current rig 1st as you may find the improvement gives it a bit more life! ;)
If not you can change your mobo and get one of the 'cheap' 1800 or 1900 ATI PCIe graphics cards. They do look good value atm.
Your CPU (assuming it's a 939 Venice?) is still good for some time to come and will probably give a reasonable overclock if necessary.

Sometimes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is best? :D

Don't forget the fans!

Yep, very nice
I fancy the eclipse but my Sonata does ok :p
I don't think the eclipse comes with fans so order a couple of Akasa Ambers with it! ;)
