Hi all,

Right, my last spec was a pheniom x6 1090t
and was advised to go for a i5 2500k

Just had a bonus at work.

so my new spec is.

CPU

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor

mobo

Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

power

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 850W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CMPSU-850TXV2UK)

RAM

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)

The motherboard is my main worry, i very much like the asus ROG boards , one of the reasons i was going for the phenom x6 as i could et the crosshair v

anyrecommendationsfor hardware to change?

Will be using for everything. games, 3dsmax, photoshop, etc

Will be using my old 8800 gtx in sli for time being (untill next pay packet)

And i'll be raiding my two ssd drives.

And this will be going in my thermaltake kandalf case

many thanks in advance

With the savings I would make from ram and power supply, would I gain in anyway by spending an extra 30 to 40 quid on a different motherboard?

Allso how come they come with display adptorts on the back of the motherboard?

Ohright, does the CPU onboard gfx chip help when using a gfx card?

And all so I was going to use stock cooler until next month,

Very doubtful will I be overclocking

I've had asrock boards before, (low end) and both been problematic

would the msi board be better or the asrock one?, im after a good board that will keep me going for a year or two, and hopfully ivy dridge will work in them
