I've had a pair of squash shoes since I started out back in July which are quite flimsy, and began to fall apart within the first couple of weeks.

I have no idea what is agood or bad squash shoe. Can anyone spec me a decent squash shoe that is robust, and not too expensive (i.e. less than £50)?

Thanks

Well your best just getting to a shop to try ones that are comfortable for you.

But I use hitec court shoes that cost £20, they have padded soles and are very comfortable.

I bought some Hitec squash trainers just before xmas too as I was slipping a little when changing direction quickly in my normal running trainers. Only played a couple of times so far and they seem to be better. Only £17.50 too!

I went into Sport and Soccer originally to buy my shoes. They were comfy and everything but they began deteriorating very quickly, particularly the rubber sole bits were coming off and turning into flaps.

I'll look into the Hitec ones, cheers!

I had a pair of hi-tecs a few years ago, the soles inside wore away :(

Then I got some Prince NFS Tour 2's, best squash trainers i've ever had. Recently purchased some NFS Tour 4's. Got both pairs off Ebay for £40. Highly recommend Prince shoes :)

Can't say I recommend the hi-tecs, lost count of how many pairs my dad bought. Best to get something that will last.

Reputable brands, two of them a tad over 50, but you get what you pay for, usually. The stylings of the shoes are nice aswell, always a bonus. The site in general is good for squash gear with lots to choose from, so maybe have a look at the lower models and/or different brands.
